Road of Rainbows 2026

Saturday, June 6, 2026
Road of Rainbows is Boston Theater Company’s annual Pride celebration, bringing together thousands of people for a joyful, inclusive day centered on community, performance, and queer visibility.

More than a traditional 5K, Road of Rainbows is a full Pride event designed to feel welcoming whether you come with friends, family, a team, or on your own. We intentionally keep the event fun, accessible, and community-focused. Our awards and event structure are gender-neutral, and the spirit of the day is about showing up, celebrating, and being together.

The event features our signature run and walk experience, live performances, community partners, local vendors, and a vibrant crowd from across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and beyond.

All proceeds support Boston Theater Company and help fund local queer artists and accessible public programming.

Why Road of Rainbows

Road of Rainbows was created to build a Pride event where everyone can feel seen, respected, and celebrated. We believe Pride should be welcoming, empowering, and financially accessible. That’s why we work to remove barriers and create a day that feels open to all.

Thousands of runners and spectators run or walk the course and stay for performances on the Common. With dozens of Pride events across the city that weekend, the Common becomes a hub of excitement and RoR is right in the heart of it.

RoR is ASL interpreted, ADA accessible, and pay-what-you-can. We offer free tickets for those who cannot afford to attend, and more than half of participants take advantage of reduced pricing. Our course welcomes all athletic abilities, with the option to run three timed laps or simply strut one. All awards and the event itself are completely gender neutral.

Who We Are

Boston Theater Company is a nonprofit organization committed to creating bold, accessible, community-centered art and events. Through Road of Rainbows, we bring that same mission into Pride by uplifting queer artists, local organizations, and the wider community.
